Playlists, Journaling, and Salt Baths: Simple Ways to De-Stress
We are now 2 days into the New Year and I thought I would be a little more intentional on what I share . This will also help me to TRY a bit more for my own self. As moms, business owners, or anyone balancing life’s endless demands, stress can often feel like an unwelcome guest that just won’t leave. But carving out moments of intentional self-care doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. It’s the simple things, like sipping your favorite tea, enjoying the soothing warmth of a salt bath, or letting music transform your mood that help us feel human again. Here are three soothing rituals: playlists, journaling, and salt baths—to help you unwind and reconnect with yourself.
- Set the Mood with a Soulful Playlist
Music has a powerful way of lifting our spirits or calming a racing mind. Whether it’s the soulful melodies of R&B, the soothing sounds of acoustic guitar, or an upbeat pop anthem, the right tunes can transform your mood in an instant.
As a Jamaican, music is part of my DNA. I’ve created a curated playlist on iTunes, filled with soothing tunes and uplifting beats designed to help you reset. Whether you’re unwinding after a long day or setting the vibe while indulging in your skincare routine, a playlist can transport you to a place of calm.

As moms, we often keep a running to-do list in our heads, leaving little room for self-reflection. Journaling gives you permission to slow down and check in with yourself.
